A screening test for Cushing syndrome!
Step 1: Go to the lab and get the first set of blood tests around 8-9 am. (Serum ACTH and cortisol level)
Step 2: Take one tablet of Dexamethasone (1 mg.) at 11 pm with a snack (this should be done the night before the second blood test and the timing is important).
Step 3: Go to the lab again the very next day at around 8-9 am and get the second set of blood tests done (serum ACTH and cortisol).
